ACES Mission Statement
The Association of Central European IB Schools (ACES) represents and promotes the educational and public interests of IB member schools and their communities, 'working together to support learning'.
As a community we foster sharing among member schools and support professional development.
Peter is currently the Director/CEO at Vienna International School, and a founding member of the Association. Peter has worked in education for 40 years, the past 26 years in senior leadership roles. Peter also serves as an elected member of the International Baccaluareate Heads Council as Vice Chair.
Paul has been the Director of the American International School of Budapest since 2013.
He has worked in education for 40 years, including 25 years in senior leadership positions. He is also a Board member of the Central and Eastern European Schools Association (CEESA).
Michael Bardsley is Director of senior schools of The Prague British School.
Brett is the Executive Director at The Ostrava International School.
Irena is the Head of Danila Kumar International School, Ljubljana. She has been a part of the IB PYP and MYP community for 22 years. She is a very active PYP workshop leader and school visitor. Irena has considerable experience in organising all kinds of professional development and IB cluster workshops.
Karen is the Principal of The British International School, Bratislava.
Imelda is the head of Graz International Bilingual School, Austria, responsible for school development, bilingual teaching, professional development, assessment policy, finances, public relations and sponsoring and European Union Agenda. Also responsible for introducing and implementing the IB Diploma Programme at GIBS, which has been a member of ACES Organisation since 2016 and an IB World School since May 2017.
