XV. gimnazija
XV. gimnazija
XV. gimnazija in Zagreb, Croatia, is a highly selective, college preparatory high-school accredited by both the Croatian Ministry of Education and the IBO. It delivers three distinguished programmes:
National high-school diploma programme focusing on Math and Science, and
International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme that builds up on the Middle Years Programme also offered in school.
The school has fifty years long tradition and a reputation of one of the most successful schools in Croatia. Out of its student body of app. 1200 students every year, the senior class of 300 continue their education at prestigious four-year universities in the country and abroad.
The IB Diploma Programme (DP) was introduced in the school in 1991 and is delivered in English being the programme`s working language. Most of our students follow their secondary education in a language that is not their mother tongue and consequently most students earn the bilingual IB diploma.
From its beginning, the IB Middle Year Programme (MYP) is guided by three fundamental concepts rooted in the IB mission statement – holistic learning, intercultural awareness and communication. Although the MYP is a 5-year programme, our school offers only the last 2 years of the programme – MYP4 and MYP5.
