The Adolescent Brain with Ines Schreiner

The teenage brain is fascinating and much researched. Educational conferences are filled with keynote speakers explaining the best approach for this captivating age group.

Oftentimes in practice, many middle school teachers struggle with behavior, motivation and learning successes in their classrooms. Teachers with good intentions, revert back to dated methods when presented with challenging middle school behaviour.

In this presentation I will share findings of the adolescent brain research, define the difficulties teachers face in middle schools and discuss possible avenues to come to a productive work environment with students. You will learn how to recognize teenage behaviour, reshift your reaction and provide students with an outcome where no one loses.
